Kwanchai Paphatphong

Born September 5, 1947. Founded Inter-Media Consultant Co., Ltd.-Producer of "FORMULA" magazine, "Car Stereo" magazine, "The World of Cars" magazine, "4 WHEELS" magazine and "Car World" TV program. He is currently President and CEO of the company. In addition to being a hardcore car buff, he is a relentless worker, dedicating himself to whatever he has initiated, whether the various magazines or the TV program. He had the foresight to see problems awaiting owners of 4x4 vehicles who did not know the correct way to drive them nor how to hone up their skill. So he embarked upon the project "SPIRIT OF THE 4x4 DRIVING SCHOOL".

    Prior to entering the realm of 4x4, he worked in an advertising agency while being a coach in 4x4 driving in Japan. He was also coach of the Thai team taking part in the Paris-Moscow-Peking Marathon Rally for two seasons. Hiro Sejima's experience in 4x4 driving is so legendary it is regarded as "Four Wheel Drive Bible" of Japan. Some years ago Hiro Sejima was on the staff of 4x4 Magazine and he used to be Vice President of the 4x4 Magazine Group.

    Saravit Vanichsombat (Chief Driving Instructor)

    Born July 18, 1958 Primary and Secondary education at Assumption College Sriracha. Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) from Krirk College Start 4x4 training with Mr. Harry Suzuki, Mr. Bruce Garland’s co-driver who was well known as an Australian Champion. Experienced the “Outback Experienced” in Australia which was very tough outdoor testing ARB, 4x4 accessories over different kinds of roads such as desert and normal road more than 5,000 km.

    Veerapol Sirithavee

    Born August 7, 1959 at Amphoe Ban Pong. Obtained a Bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona. Came back in 1982 and started work as highway construction field engineer in Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri, etc. Owner of Sirithavee Ranch, also known as Park 'n Ranch, since 1968. The property used to be tapioca and sugar cane plantations and livestock ranch. The Park 'n Ranch project was begun in 1985 and created a stir among 4x4 enthusiasts. His 4x4 experience dated back to his 4th year in primary school. The vehicles that he has used include Jeep, Ford, Land Rover, Jeep CJ6, Toyota LN and the current white Chevrolet Colorado 4x4 Z71. His extensive experience with 4x4 led him to construct a 4x4 proving ground, which is the one used by "SPIRIT OF THE 4x4 DRIVING SCHOOL" as training ground.

    Vorapan Amponsin

    Born December 4, 1950 at Amphoe Chom Bueng, Ratchaburi province, completed schooling from Phrae Forestry School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Sukhothai Dhammathiraj University. He began his civil service career as forestry officer responsible for conservation of forests at Amphoe Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai province, in 1972. He went on to become Forestry Management officer under Forest Resources Conservation at district offices at Ban Pong, Ratchaburi province responsible for areas in 5 provinces namely Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Sakhon. He gives lectures on forestry at "SPIRIT OF THE 4x4 DRIVING SCHOOL".

    Bamrung Kuha

    Born February 5, 1950 in Kanchanaburi. Completed schooling in Forestry at the Forestry School, Royal Forest Department, then obtained a Master of Science in Forestry from Kasetsart University and Micro MBA from NIDA (National Institute of Development Administration). He underwent more than 20 study and training courses both locally and abroad. He has been a civil servant at the Royal Forest Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives since 1972. He has been awarded the Chakrabarti Mala Medal and Knight Commander (Second Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand for distinguished service. He is currently Forestry Technical Officer Level 7, Management Development Group, Royal Forestry Department and lectures on forestry at "SPIRIT OF THE 4x4 DRIVING SCHOOL".

  • Awarded a prize for outstanding technical paper by Royal Forestry Department in 1994.
  • Awarded Gold Garuda insignia by the Prime Minister in 1984 for being outstanding civil servant, Royal Forestry Department.
  • Awarded Royal Gold insignia for winning the Permanent Forest Planting Project in Honour of H.M. the King in 2002.
  • For more than 25 years he has been invited from time to time to give lectures to educational institutions, civil service agencies and the private sector, through his personal commitment to conserve the country's forestry resources in the long run as befits the saying that forests are priceless gems-so long as forests remain, Thailand will endure.
